Traditional Green Oak

Often traditional green oak frames are requested by clients. Green oak is fine for agricultural or outside structures, but not recommended for repair work due to the 'shrinkage' as it dries out. Structures like conservatories are made with 'Air Dried' oak to minimise the shrinkage. Bespoke timber structures are always designed or drawn first and the specification agreed with clients before any work commences. Particular attention is also given to the waterproofing and weatherproofing aspect of new build frames.
